2013 Run for the Ridge 5K Set to Raise Funds for a Worthy Wentzville Area Program
WENTZVILLE, MISSOURI (January 10, 2013) – The date and race course have been set for the third annual Run for the Ridge 5K. The purpose of this event, which will be held at Holt High School on June 8, 2013, is to raise funds for worthy community programs.
“This year’s fundraising focus will be the Hope 4 Heights non-profit organization,” said Heather Zellmer, Event Coordinator for Run for the Ridge. “All proceeds will go to help this organization purchase land to build a "Center for Serving” to better assist the people who live in the Heights neighborhood off of Pitman Road."
The starting line for the 5K race will be staged on Campus Drive at Holt High School in Wentzville. The course will turn east on Pearce Boulevard, then continue through area neighborhoods before returning to the finish line at the school. “This 5K course is perfect for both seasoned runners and beginners alike,” said Zellmer. “Whether you live in Wentzville, or outside the area, we invite you to join us for a day of fitness and fun for a good cause.”

Run for the Ridge! 5K & Family Fun Run is an event sponsored by Peine Ridge Church in Wentzville, Missouri. The vision for Run for the Ridge is to engage the community by raising funds for worthy community programs.
